Faithfulness: God is Always True To His Word

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

One thing we can always count on is God’s faithfulness. It never fails. We know that “with God nothing is impossible.” However, there is one thing that God can’t do and that is show unfaithfulness. What great news! It is impossible for God to fail on His promises. He will always deliver. He may never be early, but He’s never late either. God is always right on time!

In my last blog I spoke on the importance of perseverance. Today I want to focus on God’s faithfulness. Please feel free to go back and read my last blog. Perseverance is something we need on our part, but faithfulness is God’s specialty.

Just think, in all of history, God has never once failed anyone. Therefore, I think we’re safe to say that He will never fail anyone. Faithfulness is one of the most important parts of God’s nature.

This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with Him, we will also live with Him. For if we endure hardship, we will reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will deny us. If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is. 2 Timothy 2:11-13 (NLT)

Isn’t that exciting? You can take God at His Word because He will not fail you! Many people may have failed you that you don’t even think it’s possible that someone won’t fail you. However, it’s impossible for God to deny who He is!

Here are a few reminders of what God’s faithfulness means to us today. There is lots of confusion in the world today, but God remains faithful.

1. God is always with you

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. Joshua 1:5 (NLT)

God promised to be with Joshua wherever he went. Certainly, you can receive that same promise as well. Know that God is with you wherever you go. He has never left you or abandoned you. Look back on your life. Remember every good thing God has done in your life. How many times has He brought you through your difficult circumstances? If you’re facing something frightening right now, turn to Him. You’ve seen His faithfulness before; you can be sure you will see His faithfulness again.

Before you got into the mess you are in, God already had a solution. God knows what needs to happen to get you to where He needs you. God didn’t become surprised when COVID-19 entered the world. He already knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10 NKJV). Therefore, God already knows His next step.

2. Be content in God’s faithfulness

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalms 5:11-12 NKJV

This is our inheritance. If we trust in God in every circumstance, we will rejoice. God has you in the palm of His hand. If you experienced lost in anyway during this time, be of good cheer. God is going to turn things around for you. His faithfulness is with you because God cannot deny Himself!

3. Trust God’s promises as they prove His faithfulness

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV

God’s promises won’t fail. It’s just impossible. If God promises something, He will fulfill it. You can simply believe Him for it. Even if it has taken thirty or more years to see its fulfillment, believe that He will. His promises are sure!

4. Know that what God says, comes to pass

The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear the Lord and let everyone stand in awe of him. For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command. Psalms 33:6-9 NLT

The moment the Lord speaks, that very thing is bound to happen because God cannot lie. He speaks, it happens. There is nothing else to it. When God gives a promise, it comes to fulfillment. That’s the way it’s always been. You can count on God.

If you received a prophecy or you heard (sensed) God’s voice, believe it because He will cause it to come to pass. He can do nothing else. His faithfulness is a sure thing!

Conclusion:

God’s love is a sure thing. He loves you and wants you to see His promises fulfilled in your life. Only believe. Put your trust in God alone because His Word is sure and steadfast. Therefore, give God thanks today! His promises will come to pass, guaranteed!
