As I study and meditate on God’s promises I realize that they’re a done deal. If God has given you a promise you must believe that He will surely fulfill it. His promises are not a question of how or if but of when. Know that God will fulfill His promises to you at His perfect timing.
Recently, I wrote a book published by Word Alive Press entitled, “Trusting God’s Timing”. You can buy the book right here off the website. I wrote the book but I still seem to get more revelation from God’s Word. I constantly see something new in His Word.
God gave a promise to the Israelites. He told them that He would give them the Promised Land that honey and milk would flow from. The Israelites had no reason to doubt God, although they often did.
HIS PROMISES ARE A DONE DEAL
And it shall be, when you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you will possess it and dwell in it. – Deuteronomy 26:1
This sounds like something that is already sure, yet they didn’t enter into the Promise Land until Joshua. God was speaking to the Israelites as if it were a fact. A done deal. When God gives you a promise it will be fulfilled. He will never go back on His Word.
Remember the Israelites were roaming around for 40 years believing that one day they would receive God’s promise. They kept holding on. There were many times when they doubted and weren’t really sure if God was going to do what He said He was going to do. However, they learned that He was faithful.
When God gives a promise there are no ifs, ands or buts. It’s God’s promise. In His eyes it’s already done. Just believe it and walk with Him.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: -Isaiah 46:10
Already Blessed
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, –Ephesians 1:3 ESV
Isn’t that amazing? God blessed us. You don’t have to wait for it. You can walk out what He has already given to you. There is nothing more you need. He is always faithful.
Whenever God said something in the Bible, unless it was prophesy, it was always past tense. The promise that you received from God you should walk it out as if it’s already yours. It will manifest because God has said it.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. -2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV
Rest assured that God’s Promise is yours. As you’re waiting, know that God is calling it a done deal. He said “Yes” to you and you must respond “Amen”. Know that God has blessed you. He has given you all that you need.
In God’s eyes He had already given the Promise Land to them because His Word is as good as His Promise. As we used to say, His word is His bond. God can’t go against His word. He can’t promise you something one day and then change His mind the next. He said it, you can cash it in.
Conclusion
The next time you begin to doubt God’s Promise for your life, begin to meditate on His Word. Study it and see that God always fulfilled His Promise. If He didn’t break any of His Promises in the Bible, He won’t break one with you either.
Take God at His Word. Believe everything that He says. Even if you don’t see it, begin to thank God for it. If God sees it as done, you should too. Faith is now. Faith sees what others can’t.
Be encouraged today! Know that God loves you! Believe that His promise to you is fulfilled!
