Vision Challenges (PT2)

This is the second part to last week’s blog. We talked about the ways Satan will use to try to get you away from the vision that God has for you. Satan will do everything in his power to make you quit before you step into God’s call on your life. This week I want to talk about the good news that God will send the right people to you. If God has given you a vision it will come to pass. To read part one of this blog click here.

You will face some or all of these four things mentioned last week, which were, opportunity to compromise, discouragement, false accusations and delay. God will move on your behalf. He will send the right people your way that will encourage and strengthen you. Don’t lose heart!

  1. God sends His Prophets

    Ezra 5:1, 2
God knows that we need the body of Christ and especially those in the five-fold ministry. We need people who will come and encourage us in times of disappointment. In this case, God sent Haggai and Zechariah. These two began to prophecy. Now there were others that came to help, Zerubbabel and Jeshua.“So Zerubbabel…Jeshua… rose up and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, helping them.” Ezra 5:2

Here we see that God not only sent people to prophesy and encourage, but to work alongside them as well. When your vision is from God, He will send people your way. These prophets came to help them right at their lowest point when they were told that they could no longer build the temple.

As the prophets were with them encouraging and strengthening them, they were able to continue. They could do this because what they were doing was God’s will. No one can fight against God’s will and win.

Of course Ezra’s accusers were not happy that he was still building. When they went to complain they realized that they could do nothing, “till a report could go to Darius.” Ezra 5:5

  2. People will speak for you.

    Ezra 5:6-17
Ezra was very encouraged because prophets were prophesying that the work would continue. Also people came by that were bold enough to help him do it. Now someone even decides to write a letter to the king for him. You see, you don’t have to fight your battles. God will fight for you. He will send people that will stand up for you.Read the whole letter and see how they spoke of them. This was a letter to influence the king. Once they had his approval the work wouldn’t stop during his reign. Ezra didn’t need to try to speak and stand up for himself. He only needed to let God send others to speak for him.

  3. Supernatural abundant provision.

    Ezra 6:8, 9
I really love reading this story. We have a big project on our hands with City of Refuge and we need continual provision. Ezra saw it fulfilled. The king’s answer to the letter sent to him is phenomenal.“Moreover I issue a decree as to what you shall do for the elders of these Jews, for the building of this house of God: Let the cost be paid at the king’s expense from taxes on the region beyond the river; this is to be given immediately to these men, so that they are not hindered. And whatever they need – young bulls, rams, and lambs for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine and oil, according to the request of the priests who are in Jerusalem – let it be given them day by day without fail, that they may offer sacrifices of sweet aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and his sons.” Ezra 6:8-10

When your vision is from God there’s no telling what or how He will do something. The king supplied everything that they needed to build the temple and see their vision fulfilled. The finances didn’t seem to be coming in this quickly before. God provided in such a supernatural way and He always will. If finances seem to be slowing God’s plan for your life down, don’t sweat it, God will send His provision!

  4. God shuts the enemy’s mouth.

    Ezra 6:11, 12
Now that the King was on their side no one could do anything to stop them. The King issued a decree and nobody could do anything about it. Once the king makes a decree there’s no way to override it, without receiving consequences.“Also I issue a decree that whoever alters this edict, let a timber be pulled from his house and erected, and let him be hanged on it; and let his house be made a refuse heap because of this. And may God who causes His name to dwell there destroy any king or people who put their hand to alter it, or to destroy this house of God which is in Jerusalem. I Darius issue a decree; let it be done diligently.” Ezra 6:11, 12

God is going to turn the tables. If you have enemies that are speaking falsely against you and wearing you down, wait for God to act. He is going to make you laugh at your enemies. There is nothing they will be able to do to discourage and make you quit. When God is on your side you are always a majority!

Once all of this takes place, you will see the vision completed. When God gives you a vision and you stick with Him there is nothing that anyone can do to stop it completely. Since God’s given you the vision He wants you to complete it even more than you do.

“So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. Now the temple was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.” Ezra 6:14, 15

God’s vision for Ezra was fulfilled. He completed what God had called him to do. He only had one thing left to do, rejoice!

“Then the children of Israel, the priests and the Levites and the rest of the descendants of captivity, celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy.” Ezra 6:16

Ezra’s enemy did so much to try to discourage and destroy him. They must have been in shock and disgrace once they saw the fulfillment and the great joy that they had at the completion of the temple. They saw the party, wanted to be a part of it, yet too ashamed to walk inside.

Place your vision in God’s hands. It’s the best thing that you can do! He will fight for you. Don’t worry about the naysayers or the enemy. You will win with God on your side. Rejoice, your vision will come to pass!
